Use ECG & Advanced Health Features
Your TG-Sense Ultra Smartwatch combines wrist-based sensors with dedicated electrode contact for supported advanced wellness functions including ECG and Body Composition.
Correct watch placement and electrode contact are especially important when using these functions.
Follow the instructions below for the best measurement experience.
Before Using ECG or Electrode-Based Measurements
For proper contact:
- Wear TG-Sense Ultra snugly on your wrist.
- Make sure the back of the watch rests flat against your skin.
- Keep the rear sensors clean.
- Keep the electrode area clean and dry.
- Sit comfortably when possible.
- Keep your arm relaxed.
- Remain still during the measurement.
How to Take an ECG Measurement
Step 1 — Wear Your TG-Sense Ultra Correctly
Place the watch securely on your wrist.
The rear sensors/electrodes must remain in full contact with your skin.
Step 2 — Open ECG
From your TG-Sense Ultra app menu, open:
ECG
Then tap:
Start Measurement
Step 3 — Touch the Side Electrode
Using a finger from your opposite hand, touch and hold the side electrode on the watch.
Maintain continuous contact throughout the measurement.
At the same time:
- Keep the rear of the watch against your wrist.
- Keep your finger on the side electrode.
- Avoid moving your arms.
This creates the required contact path for the ECG measurement.
Step 4 — Stay Still During the Measurement
Keep your arm relaxed.
Do not:
- Lift your finger
- Move the watch
- Remove the watch from your wrist
- Interrupt the measurement
Continue holding the electrode until the watch indicates that the test has finished.
Step 5 — Wait for the ECG to Complete
The measurement may take approximately 60 seconds, depending on the watch version and software.
Continue maintaining skin and electrode contact until the measurement is complete.
Step 6 — Review Your ECG Information
After the measurement is complete, the watch will display the available result.
Supported ECG information and reports can also be viewed through the connected G Band app where available.
How to Use Body Composition
TG-Sense Ultra also supports an electrode-assisted Body Composition function on supported versions.
Step 1 — Open Body Composition
From your watch menu, open:
Body Composition
Then tap:
Start
Step 2 — Keep the Watch Against Your Wrist
Make sure the rear sensor/electrode area remains fully in contact with your skin.
Step 3 — Touch the Side Electrode
Place a finger from your opposite hand on the side electrode.
Keep your finger touching the electrode throughout the measurement.
Step 4 — Remain Still
Keep your arm relaxed and maintain both:
Rear sensor-to-wrist contact
and
Finger-to-side-electrode contact
until the measurement finishes.
Step 5 — Review the Result
Once completed, TG-Sense Ultra will display the available body-composition information.
Supported information may also synchronize with G Band.

Tips for More Consistent ECG & Advanced Measurements
Maintain Good Skin Contact
The back of the watch should remain flat against your wrist.
Keep the Sensors Clean
Wipe the rear sensor and electrode areas gently if needed.
Keep Your Finger on the Electrode
For electrode-based functions, do not remove your finger until the test finishes.
Stay Still
Movement can interfere with the measurement.
Relax Your Arm
Resting your arm comfortably can make it easier to maintain steady contact.
Repeat an Interrupted Measurement
If the measurement stops or appears inconsistent, reposition the watch and repeat the test.
Why Does ECG Require Finger Contact?
Unlike standard wrist-only optical measurements, the ECG function uses the watch's electrode system.
The watch must maintain contact with your wrist while a finger from your opposite hand touches the side electrode.
This allows the ECG measurement circuit to operate correctly.
ECG Report Not Appearing in G Band?
Try the following:
- Confirm TG-Sense Ultra is connected to G Band.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Keep your smartphone close to your watch.
- Open G Band and allow synchronization to complete.
- Repeat the ECG measurement if the previous test was interrupted.
